We had a fantastic time axe throwing at Mendip Activity Centre today! The whole family joined in, and it was such a fun and experience for all of us. Our instructor, Joe, was amazing—he was patient, encouraging, and made the session super enjoyable. He gave us great tips to improve our technique, and by the end, even the kids were hitting the targets.....sometimes!

The atmosphere was friendly and relaxed, and the setup was perfect for families. We all left with big smiles and plenty of great memories. Highly recommend this activity for anyone looking for something a little different. Thanks, Joe, and the Mendip team! We’ll definitely be back, as we have lots of credit left on our vouchers!

We had a wonderful day at Mendip Activity Centre. The highlight of the day was the half-hour tobogganing session — so much fun for both the little ones and the adults! It brought back childhood memories, and we all couldn’t stop laughing. After that we gathered around the fire in the forest to roast marshmallows, which we paired with chocolate biscuits— such a treat for everyone. We also enjoyed delicious hot chocolate, making the experience even cosier. The food for the kids at the Alpine Lodge was fantastic, and the staff throughout the day were incredibly friendly and helpful. Thank you! We can’t wait to return and would highly recommend it for a fun and memorable day out!

Bought as a Christmas gift for my partner and our son. They both absolutely loved it! The staff member Joe was highly praised too. I am so chuffed I paid for this in the sale but it sounded like even at full price it would have been worth it due to their total enjoyment! Many thanks!

We have camped at Basecamp twice now and both times had a really good time. We took our two children (5 months and 5 years old). There are lots of free activities during the summer holidays, along with the large sandpit and small play area. There are also paid activities which are brilliant for a range of ages. You can buy everything you need on site which makes it easy for camping. We will definitely be back again!

We have found all their instructors to be excellent. Really good positive way to get into to lots of outdoor activities. Our kids enjoyed climbing, kayaking, archery and skiing. Special shout out to teaching them about knots for rock climbing.
Sadly I failed to be able to convince kids to try caving

Can't recommend enough. The booking system is great, the check in team are brilliant and every instructor the children have had have been outstanding. They have done archery, rock climbing, canoeing, assault course, caving and abseiling and over every minute.

Started the learn to Ski course which I purchased as part of their Black Friday event for me and my kid. The 1st session has made me very excited about the rest of the course. It was easy to book. well organised upon arrival and started on time. Rory the instructor was excellent, he made the session fun for people of mixed abilities offering a clear understanding of what the course would include. Overall I feel this course is excellent value for money for somebody starting to learn, with professional teaching from excellent well trained instructors.

Fabulous family campsite with top notch facilities and lovely free little touches such as live bands and circus skills. A well equipped shop and campfires to hire with s'more kits. We enjoyed the well organised activities of climbing, archery, rifle shooting, caving and my favourite, active archery which is like paintball but more fun and without the bruises!
