I'm reading these reviews and I've been to other Chinese restaurants out of state and nothing can compare to this restaurant. Its a reasonable price for a buffet. Its not fancy but the food is flavorful and will fill you up. If you want "fresh food" they're more than happy to cook it for you. I've noticed some bickering about how things changed since the new owners. I know for a fact its the same cook for 20 years and he IS the only cook back there. Just because you don't get free things anymore doesn't mean the food taste different.

I enjoy this place due to the staff. They may not be top notch on appearance and they do have a issue with letting food sit out for to long. I will say this place is family owned and they do try hard. I can only imagine the food costs off throwing food out all the time for shelf life expiration times. I go and ask for fresh items of what I have chosen from the buffet and I am served without question, as well as I like to deviate from the menu and have items cooked to order which they do as well and charge me the same rate. I enjoy wontons grilled not fried tossed in sauce and then placed in fried rice...Yummie... So beat them up if you want for poor decor and crusty buffet items but keep in mind its a private business and I love to support local people myself. Their willingness to go out of their way to make you happy as well as accommodate any request puts them on the top of my list. Please give them a chance before listening to some angry old coot.

I have been eating at Fung Gardens for 12+ years. Their restaurant is always clean; the food hot and good. The buffet does not have all of the traditional Asian style food you may expect from a Chinese restaurant. The food seems to be a deep-south American/Chinese fusion probably aimed at catering more to the taste of the senior population in Zephyrhills.
On their buffet, they serve a green bean/chicken dish and a cabbage/carrot dish in gravy-like sauces that remind me of traditional southern food. They have excellent southern-style fried chicken wings, chinese style wings, egg foo yung and yummy candied potatoes and more. They serve cheesecake, pecan pie, ice cream, and various cakes for dessert. They also have the best hot and sour soup in Pasco.
For the person who said there is a film on the soup, that is true, but only because that is what many soups do when kept safely hot.
And everything on the buffet that should be hot is kept hot and that is what keeps me coming back again and again. It doesn't matter if it is noon or three o'clock, the food is always hot and fresh.
I am a very picky eater and would never eat in a restaurant with a questionable kitchen. As long as the new owners keep up the quality of their food, I will continue to go there and give them a good review.

Very dirty, musty, mildew and mold. had to call Health Dept and building inspection. always loved this place. but new owner has no more caring . if the dining room is as filthy as it is, hate to see what the back food prep and cooking ares look like.

I have been a loyal to this place for years. When ordering take out from this place the lil' ole lady that answers the phone always would state 10-15 minutes for pick-up . When arriving I have been greeted with a smile and my order was hot and ready to go.
The prices a great for the amount and quality of food.

I special ordered 60 eggrolls for my son's 16th birthday (his only request for his party foods). I was able to pick up the order prior to them opening and recieved a special prices. The party platter was the first to be cleared. Excellent EGG ROLLS!!!

When dining in , the staff is friendly , helpful and a pleasure to deal with.

They were cleaning underneath the hoods of the buffet tables while food was out ..and dust and particles were falling..and using a dirty rag

Always having to wait for trays to be filled. Soup/gravy always has a film on it. New owners since holidays of 2011. Getting worse with each visit.
